Realme GT 8 Series Goes on Sale with 7000mAh Battery and Ricoh Imaging Innovation

Realme has finally released its high-end GT 8 series today in China, introducing two behemoths — the Realme GT 8 and Realme GT 8 Pro. The launch event showcased dramatic boosts in battery, display, and camera technology, and thus the GT 8 series is a genuine threat to the high-end Android market.

The GT 8 Pro has a massive 7000mAh battery, a significant increase from the 6500mAh battery of the previous GT 7 Pro. Despite it having a larger battery, the phone is still only 8.2mm thick. Realme also included 120W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and bypass charging support, allowing for charging to 50 percent within 15 minutes.

Display and Performance Upgrades

Both feature a 6.78 inch flat OLED screen with 2K resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. This ensures ultra-smooth graphics and clear detail, ideal for gaming and media consumption. The GT 8 Pro also features an exclusive R1 game chip to enhance frame stability and heat dissipation during prolonged gaming sessions.

Internally, the GT 8 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, with the accompanying up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. Realme has been targeting offering flagship-grade performance while ensuring effectiveness in terms of energy consumption and balance in heat.

Ricoh Imaging System and Camera Innovations

One of the highlights of the GT 8 series is its partnership with Ricoh GR for camera calibration. The GT 8 Pro has a triple camera design with 50 megapixel periscope telephoto lens, 50 megapixel wide angle sensor, and swappable module design for ease of upgrading in the future. The regular GT 8 is also treated to Ricoh’s image system, providing professional level clarity and dynamic range.

Realme describes the GT 8 Pro as offering DSLR grade depth and contrast, particularly in low light. The camera app features new AI improvements for portrait mode, motion tracking, and real time HDR rendering.

Design and Color Options

The Realme GT 8 comes in three unique finishes — Navi, White, and Green. The Navi model has a navy blue color with frosted glass that provides a silky feel. The White model employs AG frosted glass resistant to fingerprints, whereas the Green model brings in eco friendly recycled leather with a paper like touch.

These design selections are a result of Realme’s drive towards sustainability and premium looks, providing consumers with a combination of looks and endurance.

India Launch and Availability

While the GT 8 series has been rolled out in China, Realme released a statement saying that India will see the launch happen in November 2025. The details regarding pricing will come closer to the local launch, but early indications point to a budget-conscious starting price of under ₹45,000 for the base GT 8 model.

Conclusion: Realme GT 8 Series Sets A New Benchmark

With its gigantic battery, leading display, and Ricoh optimized camera system, the Realme GT 8 series is a bold move forward for the brand. It offers performance, design, and innovation in a package that defies flagship conventions — and sets the bar high for what mid premium smartphones can achieve.
