Realme 16 Pro Plus India Launch Details: Price, Specifications, And Performance

The Indian smartphone market is abuzz with anticipation as Realme is soon going to herald the arrival of the New Year by launching a new addition to its popular number series. The Realme 16 Pro Plus is soon going to make its debut in India on January 6, 2026, at 12 PM. This is definitely going to prove to be a giant step for the brand, as this device is soon going to combine superior camera capabilities, a giant battery, and a special design that has been compiled by the legendary designer Naoto Fukasawa.

Urban Wild Design and Master Craftsmanship

The feature that stands out greatly in the Realme 16 Pro Plus is design. The Realme 16 Pro Plus breaks away from the round cameras seen on previous models and brings a new design called “Urban Wild” to the table. The design comes along with a redesigned square camera module at the back.

The phone will come in several nature-inspired designs, such as Master Gold and Master Grey, and will have India exclusive designs such as Camellia Pink and Orchid Purple. Realme is using the bio-based organic silicon material to make the back panel of the phone, ensuring the phone is both aesthetically pleasing and pleasant to the touch.

The Return of The Periscope Camera

Camera enthusiasts have a lot to eagerly await in what is being touted as the “200MP Portrait Master.” The Realme 16 Pro Plus sports a humongous 200MP primary camera that is driven by LumaColor Image technology. The in-house algorithm is intended to blend light and color to capture natural-looking portraits.

That is perhaps the most exciting piece of news: the return of the periscope telephoto lens. This is because the 16 Pro Plus will come equipped with a 50MP periscope camera that will allow it to offer 3.5 times optical zoom and 100 times digital zoom. This is not just ideal for solo portraits when detail is paramount but will be ideal when shooting a stage performance that is far away. On the other hand, the 50MP selfie cam will deliver high-definition video calls.

High-Performance Hardware & 7000mAh Titan Battery

In terms of internals, Realme 16 Pro+ is backed by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 SOC. This processor has already disrupted the benchmarking community, and Realme has claimed that it has an AnTuTu benchmark of around 1.44 million. It is combined with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of internal storage, which will make it capable of handling heavy gaming and multitasking.

In order to illuminate the screen, Realme has equippersd it with an enormous battery, commonly dubbed as the “Titan Battery,” that packs 7,000mAh power. The battery, although this enormous, is thin, as it measures 8.5mm in thickness. It boasts an 80W fast charging system that enables fast recharging. The battery, as per claims, can power 125 hours of music playback or 21 hours of video viewing when continuously playing videos on the YouTube application.

Immersive Display and Rugged Durability

The display on the front of the device features a 6.8-inch 4D curved AMOLED display. This display screen is not just large but also very bright, with a peak brightness of 6,500 nits. With a refresh rate of 144Hz and a touch sampling rate of 2,500Hz, the display screen provides a seamless experience.

Moreover, Realme has also emphasized durability in their new offerings in 2023. The 16 Pro Plus has been provided with a long list of protection standards such as IP66, IP68, and IP69. This suggests that the device is resistant to dust, high pressure water jets, as well as immersion in water, thus making it one of the most robust devices in the mid-range premium segment available in the market.

Expected Price & Availability

As far as its price is concerned, it was announced at the launch event, but based on marketplace reports, it is being guessed that Realme 16 Pro Plus will be a costly mid-range smartphone. Based on a retail box listing, its MRP cost is Rs. 43,999, whereas its market price would be in the range of Rs. 35,000 to Rs. 38,000 rupees. It would be available on Flipkart, Realme website, and a few offline retailers in India.
