Introduced in India this week, the Itel P55 series, the latest addition to Itel’s new P series, features the standout top-end model, the Itel P55+. Boasting notable features like a vegan leather design, 45W fast charging, and ample 256GB storage, this series offers an array of enhancements.
The Itel P55+ showcases a 6.56-inch HD+ LCD screen with a pixel resolution of 720 x 1612 pixels, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and a pixel density of about 269 PPI. With a 90Hz refresh rate, the phone incorporates a punch-hole screen housing an 8-megapixel camera with an LED flash. The display exhibits brightness, vibrant colors, and good sunlight legibility, offering a dynamic visual experience.
Despite its decent viewing angles, the phone lacks an ambient light sensor for automatic brightness adjustment, necessitating manual adjustments, especially during nighttime use when the screen might appear too bright.
Physically, the Itel P55+ positions the power button, integrating a fingerprint scanner, and volume rockers on the right side, with the dedicated dual SIM and microSD card slot on the left. The bottom features the 3.5mm audio jack, primary microphone, USB Type-C port, and loudspeaker grill.
The back of the device showcases a 50-megapixel camera along with an AI camera, featuring a premium vegan leather finish, particularly in the Royal Green color variant. The phone is equipped with a reliable 5000mAh built-in battery, ensuring prolonged usage.
Under the hood, the Itel P55+ operates on an Octa-Core UniSoC T606 12nm processor, featuring 2 x A75 cores clocked at up to 1.6GHz and 6x A55 cores at up to 1.6GHz. The Mali-G57 MP1 GPU, supporting Open GL ES 3.2 and Open CL 2.0 graphics, enhances the device’s graphic capabilities.
With a 5000mAh (typical) built-in battery, the Itel P55+ ensures reliable endurance, lasting an entire day with heavy 4G usage and multimedia consumption, and even more with average use.
